The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday filed a case against an assistant personal secretary (APS) of former State Minister for Religious Affairs Shajahan Mia on charge of amassing wealth worth Tk 1.11 crore beyond his means.
ACC Deputy Director (DD) A K M Mezbha Uddin filed the case against Soumen Chandra Lal with the city’s Ramna Thana at noon.
Earlier, a probe team led by the said DD submitted its primary inquiry report to the Commission and recommended for filing the case.
The ACC high command approved filing the first information report (FIR) following the team’s plea.
