Chittagong City Corporation has suspended the appeal hearing of holding tax in city and primary valuation assessment following the decision of the concerned ministry . CCC sources said under revenue circle-2 , appeal hearing notice was sent to 251 tax payees but hearing could not held hearing on Monday.
Tax officer of Circle-2 Md. Kamrul Islam Chowdhury told that sensing the suspension of hearing , concerned officials informed the tax payees about it. Chief Executive Officer of CCC Md.Shamsudoha told that govt has decided to introduce t ax automation in all city corporations very shortly and hence holding tax assessment appeal hearing temporarily suspended .
He said over the matter of holding tax and tax automation, meeting was held in the concerned Ministry on Sunday last but we did not receive the copies of the decisions of the meeting as yet.
