Antigen test at 6 centers in port city

Many are still reluctant to avoid the corona test due to delays in getting results. As a result, the infection is spreading rapidly around. Despite the symptoms, the infection is increasing from city to village due to not coming under the test. However, this time the health department has taken initiative to increase the number of infection detection and sample tests.
After the upazila, antigen test is going to be introduced in six temporary centers of the city. It will be possible to get the result in just one hour. In the meantime, training has been started to introduce sample tests in these centers. The test will start from next week at the temporary 6 center in the city. The centers are BRAC’s Temporary Sample Laboratory in Oxygen Area, Bakalia, Bandar, Chest Disease Clinic – Anderkilla, Fauzdarhat Cardiac Disease Hospital and ICDRB Center of Customs. Antigen testing will be started temporarily in these six centers.
Earlier, the first dedicated general hospital in Chittagong started antigen test activities from March 20. Besides, tests are also underway at Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital. In the meanwhile, from the last week of June, the desired test started in the rural areas. In all, antigen tests have been conducted in 16 centers in Chittagong so far. Of these, the city’s new 7 will be launched in a total of 22 centers.
Chattogram District Civil Surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said that positive-negative can be identified in a short time through antigen test. If someone is positive, they can be separated quickly. The infection will not spread anymore. Training has already started to introduce this test in these centers of the city.
