Eminent human health experts shared their observation day after publishing report of Relief Secretary Md Mohsin and a health worker tested covid positive after taking vaccinations.
Human health experts yet asked people not to be refrained from taking the jab, saying there is no alternative of vaccination to fight the fatal virus.
Secretary of Disaster Management and Relief Ministry Md. Mohsin and Md. Sazzad Hossain, an Ward Master of Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital have been infected with Covid-19 after administering vaccines 12 and 15 days respectively.
People from different walks of life expressed their hesitations if they would take or not vaccines as many are being infected with Covid-19 even after taking the jabs.
When contacted, Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, former Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) told The New Nation on Friday, “This vaccine is new and under close observation. Generally antibody grows three weeks after administering vaccines in human body.”
The Professor said that people must have to shun hesitations and should take vaccines because there is no alternative of the jab to eliminate the fatal virus.
Earlier on Thursday, medical officials said that the two persons who tested covid positive after taking the jabs may be infected before administering vaccines in their bodies.
In such cases, the expert said antibody can drive out the virus from their bodies.
“If antibody grows once, it can drive out the virus from human body. As a result they can be freed from Covid-19,” Professor Nazrul Islam said.
He said also that growing of the antibody may be varied in person to persons’ bodies. If one person’s body resilience is found week, growing of strong antibody may be delayed there.
Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, also Member of the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19 said also that the second dose will boost the antibody and can save people from contaminations.
On the other hand, Professor Dr. Muzaherul Huq, former Advisor of the World Health Organisation (WHO), told The New Naiton, “After taking one jab antibody may be grow in human bodies within 45 days to 90 days.”
But it varies from individual to individual as per their bodies conditions, he added.
Meanwhile, Microbiologist Dr. Bijon Kumar Shil said, growing of the antibody starts 15 days after administering vaccines.
He warned if any one comes to contact with any Covid-19 contaminated person within 15 days of vaccination, may be he infected as the antibody has a chance to grow in his body.
The human health experts said the antibody may not stay in human body for lifelong. But it creates a memory cell which stay whole life. If the virus attacks him again, the memory cell would create antibody to drive out the virus instantly or within three days.
All of the health experts asked vaccinated people to wear face masks and follow every health safety measures like washing hands in 20 minutes, maintaining social distance as like the previous days to be safe and keep safe others as well their family members.
