Bangladesh has obtained the fifth position from the top at the list of the most suicide -tending countries. Suicide is such a heart rendering case of death which is from many perspectives more pathetic than killing, murder, accidents or any other unnatural death. Life is such a wealth which can never be regained after losing it once.
The loss of a life means the loss of a possibility. Considering these, director Asad Sarker made a short film titled Stop Suicide for aiming to save lives by awakening love for life among men. In the film, we have represented some stories of returning back from committing suicide.
Director Asad Sarker is going to screen the film through a seminar such it may help many people to stay away from such an atrocious act like suicide. As the suicidal tendency is commonly observed among the college or university students, director is going to arrange to screen the movie in the government women colleges and universities.
While talking in this regard director Asad Sarker said, “There is no commercial purpose demanding this endeavor rather we are working from our own sense of responsibility as humans to stand by the sufferers and to save human lives. If even only one life can be saved through our campaign it will be our success. For our country, as we hope, this will be the rescue of a powerful wealth.”
The cast of the short film includes Payel, Hasem Chisti, Aishwariya, Mukti, Shahnewaz Chowdhury, Parvej Chowdhury and Harun.
