Anti-militancy campaign held at IU

Islamic University (IU) authority and Coalition against Tobacco, Tracks and Terrorism jointly held an anti-militancy campaign on the varsity campus on Thursday.
The campaign included an anti-militancy procession, discussion and cultural function.
Teachers, officials and students of the university brought out the procession from in front of the university administration building with the participation of State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan, IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid, Pro-VC Professor Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Professor Dr M Selim Toha.
The procession ended at the university central auditorium after parading main roads of the campus.
The discussion meeting was held at Bir Shrestha Hamidur Rahman auditorium around 12.30pm.
State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan addressed the function as chief guest while IU Vice- Chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari presided over the programme.
The cultural function was held at the university central auditorium.
