‘Anti-liberation force trying to destroy communal harmony’

State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan, MP said that anti-independence circles have started hatching conspiracy to destroy communal harmony in the country.
“The anti-independence force wants to keep the country in an unstable state by creating anarchy, including arson attacks, to spoil the image of the country,” he said this on Tuesday while visiting a temple, houses, and shops damaged by miscreants in Dighlia area under Lohagara upazila.
“Whoever is involved in the crime will be brought to book as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set a shining example of maintaining the bonds of communal harmony in this country” he said, reports BSS.
He also said people who have suffered losses in the incident of July 15, will be rehabilitated, and the temples and properties which have been damaged, will be rebuilt.
Swapan Bhattacharya MP, Minister of State for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, said the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly to make this country a strong and democratic state.
“Bangladesh is traditionally a country of communal harmony,” he added.
Members of Parliament Advocate Biren Sikder, Ashim Kumar Ukil, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Pankaj Nath, Panchanan Biswas, Deputy Commissioner of Narail Mohammad Habibur Rahman, Superintendent of Police Prabir Kumar Roy, District Awami League General Secretary Nizam Uddin Khan Nilu and local district and upazila Awami League leaders, among others, were present.
Later, a meeting was held on religious harmony at Lohagara Upazila Parishad auditorium.
