The International Anti-corruption Day was observed in the port city as elsewhere in the district in a befitting manner on Saturday .
Regional office of Anti-Corruption Commission, Chittagong organised the day with colourful events duly patronised by the district and divisional administration of Chittagong.
The daylong day includes human chain, discussion meeting and cultural functions. According to UN Anti-Corruption Declaration of 2003, this day is being observed across the world on December09 every year.
Mentionable that Bangladesh is also observing the day from very 2005 accordingly. Discussion meeting in connection followed by human chain and rally was held at Chittagong Zymnasium Auditorium. Duly presided by the Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Md Zillur Rahman Chowdhury.
Among others, Divisional Commissioner Abdul Mannan, DIG of Chittagong Range SM Maniruzzaman, Police Commissioner Iqbal Bahar, Police super Nure Alam Mina, Director of ACC Md Akhter Hossain and President of city Corruption Resistance committee Monoara Hakim Ali spoke on the occasion discussants, sources said.
