Chittagong Bureau :
A mobile court in Chittagong led by Executive Magistrate Rakib Hasan under direct supervision of Drug Licensing Authority and Drug Administration Deptt, Chittagong chapter conducted raid against the time expired, spurious and contraband medicines in the drug wholesale market Hazari lane in the city on Monday.
During the raid , one pharmacy sealed off and 13 others convicted with penalty with different amounts of money. These 13 pharamcy shops fined with Tk.1.30 lakh , source said. Director of the drug administration deptt Md. Selim , Direector of Drug Testing Lab, Chittagong Mushfiqur Rahman, Asstt. Direector of Health Directorate Ashraf hossain, Drug Superior Mohsonim Mahbub were present in the drive.
During the drive, 13 pharmacy traced selling of contraband drugs and time expired drugs and seized 20 cartoons from these shops.
