Another sedition case against BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tareque Rahman was today filed for calling the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman a ‘top Razakar’.
Shehabul Hoq Sikdar, former General Secretary of Banskhali upazila unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League, filed the sedition case at the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s court at about 11am.

Advocate Rony Kumar Dey, lawyer of the plaintiff Shehabul Hoq Sikdar filed the sedition case under ‘Section 123 A’ of the penal code for hatching conspiracy against the creation and sovereignty of the state through his offensive speech about Bangabandhu and the liberation war of the country.
Tareque Rahman was sued in another sedition case at the same Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s court on December 18 last.
On December 15, Tareque Rahman, the eldest son of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, at a discussion programme at the Atrium Hall in East London said Sheikh Mujib was a “big Razakar” for having banned the Awami League himself.
