Another PW testifies against Shariatpur Razakar duo

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Thursday recorded deposition of Abdul Jalil, a prosecution witness in the crimes against humanity case against alleged Razakar commanders from Shariatpur Sulaiman Mollah, 84, and Edris Ali Sarder alias Gazi Edris, 67.
Prosecutor Sabina Yesmin Khan Munni assisted the three-judge tribunal in recording the deposition of Abdul Jalil, 62, a Freedom Fighter commander from Shariatpur.
Jalil submitted his testimony on all the four charges those were framed against Mollah of Kashipur Muslimpara and Edris of Paschim Kashabhog of Shariatpur.
After the conclusion of the testimony, defence counsel Advocate Gazi MH Tamim started quizzing the witness. Justice Anwarul Haque, chairman of the tribunal, adjourned the hearing till June 20 as the defence failed to conclude the hearing yesterday.
Of the two accused, Mollah is in jail after being arrested on June 14, 2015, and was present at the courtroom.
The first tribunal on May 2 indicted the accused, implicating them for crimes like genocide, murder and arson.
