Police have arrested one more person for his suspected involvement in the snatching of three condemned militants from a prison van in Trishal on February 23.
Raju Ahmed, 33, son of late Ibrahim Hossain of Nagarkanda Beparipara area under Islampur municipality in the Jamalpur district was arrested from Beparipara Sunday noon.
Officer-in-Charge of the Mymensingh police Detective Branch Majedur Rahman produced him before the Mymensingh Magistrate Court-4 on Monday afternoon with a plea to interrogate him for 10 days.
After the hearing, Magistrate Farzana Yasmin granted the remand appeal.
Officer-in-Charge of Jamalpur district unit DB Police Mohammad Kamruzzaman said that Raju was a member of the banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
