One more case was filed yesterday against its Chairman Shamima Nasrin and company Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohammad Rassel.
One Md Mujahidur Rahman lodged case with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka for not getting an air-conditioner from the company in spite of paying the full price.
Accepting the case, Magistrate Devdas Chandra Adhikari of the CMM Court asked Dhanmondi Police Station to register it as a First Information
Report (FIR).
According to Public Prosecutor Azad Rahman, the customer paid Taka 85,000 long ago to Evaly as price for a General brand air-conditioner. But in spite of paying the price in full, the product was not supplied, he added.
Earlier on September 21, Dhaka’s Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibul Haque placed Mohammad Rassel on one day fresh remand and sent Shamima Nasrin in jail in a money embezzlement case lodged with Gulshan Police Station.
Besides, Metropolitan Magistrate Atiqul Islam of the CMM Court on September 17 placed Rassel and Shamima on three-day remand in another case filed with Gulshan Police Station. Arif Baker, a customer of Evaly, filed that case.
Mohammad Rassel and Shamima Nasrin were detained from their Mohammadpur flat in the afternoon on September 16.
