The Annual Sports Competition of Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall of Dhaka University (DU) was held at the Central Playground of DU on Sunday.
Md Alamgir Hossain, a third year student of Banking and Insurance Department emerged as the champion of the sports competition, while Md Saiful Islam, a student of Urdu Department became runner-up of the meet.
After the competition, Treasurer of DU Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin distributed the prizes among the winners.
Provost of the Hall Professor Dr Delwar Hossain presided over the prize-giving ceremony. Senior teachers of DU, residential teachers of the Hall and a good number of students were present at the time.
Earlier, Vice-Chancellor of DU Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the sports competition.
