The annual sports competition of Netrakona Government Women ‘s College was held on the college playground here yesterday. Kamrunnesa Ashraf Dina, renowned social worker and wife of State Minister for Fisheries and Live Stock Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru MP, formally inaugurated the sports competition as chief guest while principal of the college professor Sirajul Islam was in the chair.
The function was addressed, among others, by vice principal ,of the college Kazi Faruk Ahmed, professor Shamsunnar Khanam and general secretary of Netrakona press club Shemolendu Paul. A total of 200 students of the college participated in 25 events including long ran, long jump, badminton and dress as you like of the sports competition. Later, the chief guest Kamrunnesa Ashraf Dina distributed prizes among the winners of the competitions.
