Annual confce of BBBA held at DU

A day-long 2nd Annual Conference on “Bio-safety, Bio-security and Bio-risk Management in Bangladesh” organized by Bangladesh Bio-safety and Bio-security Association (BBBA) was held on Saturday at Department of Microbiology of Dhaka University (DU). DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the conference as the chief guest.
President of BBBA Dr Asadulghani presided over the inaugural session while Chairman of ESCO Group of Companies Lim Lay Yew and Advisor of BBBA Prof Dr Be-Nazir Ahmed addressed as special guests.
Chairman of the organizing committee Prof Dr Rakha Hari Sarker delivered the welcome speech.
Professor Arefin in his speech urged the researchers and scientists to follow ethical dimension in bio-safety and bio-security research.
He urged the researchers to maintain rules and regulations in scientific
research and added that researchers have to reach the highest level of
ethics.
The DU VC observed that question paper leakage of different public
examinations has been carried out through various social media due to absence
of ethical values among people.
