Ankle injury throws Taskin Ahmed out of action for a week

Pacer Taskin Ahmed became injured while fielding during the match against Chittagong Vikings.
Having been running with a successful competition so far in the Bangladesh Premier League 2019, national team pacer Taskin Ahmed has suffered a bad blow when he hurt his ankle while making a fielding effort during the match against Chittagong Vikings on Friday.
In the fourth ball of the tenth over delivered by Alok Kapali, Taskin ran after a shot from Mosaddek Hossain flicked through long off which he (Taskin) failed to reach. But he slipped on the boundary rope leaving his ankle bruised.
He was taken to a private hospital adjacent to Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. As per sayings of the physicians, X ray report is needed to reveal the nature of the injury.
But according to unofficial sources, Taskin would be thrown out of action for at least a week.
With 22 scalps in 12 matches so far, Taskin Ahmed becomes the highest taker of this season’s BPL so far. The success journey in BPL has become influential in his inclusion in the national team squad for the forthcoming tour to New Zealand.
Taskin’s team Sylhet Sixers are now out of the competition for this season; playing 12 matches, the Sixers bagged win in just five matches on contrary to seven loses.
