Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) recruited Andrew Ord as the Head Coach of Bangladesh National Football team on June 6, 2017. He was recruited by BFF for one year. But the Australian-born Coach submitted his resignation letter before three months of his tenure.
General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag said to the newsmen on Wednesday, ” Andrew Ord submitted his resignation letter. We have accepted it. According to the agreement between BFF and Andrew Ord, Ord had to work one year. But he submitted his resignation letter before three months of his tenure. We can make trouble for him. But we did not do that. SAFF Championship will be held in September, while Bangabandhu Gold Cup will be held in October. We have enough time to appoint a new coach. So, we have accepted his resignation letter.”
Shohag said, “Andrew Ord has no debt from BFF. We have approved his resignation without any hesitation. We shall look forward.”
He said, ” Ord has shown his personal reasons for his resignation. But he left his job as he has got better proposal.”
