Police found body of an unidentified woman (33) from Shitalakkhya River at Taragan Ekadala Bangla Tech (Khalifa Tech) at Kapasia upazila under Kapasia Police Station on Monday.
The deceased was rearing a red print sari and a printed burka on the body.
Sub-inspector Dulal Mia said that the injury marks on the head of the rescued body and the flying throat were scrambled.
Police suspected that first the woman was killed then left in river a day ago.
The body was recovered and sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Thana officer in-charge (OC) Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique visited the spot. A case has been filed in this regard .
