Industries minister Amir Hossain Amu called upon country’s entrepreneurs to avoid the mentality of importing raw materials with a view to promoting local resources.
“We need to increase our export diversification for boosting economy, said the minister in a press briefing while visiting Runner vehicle company at Valuka, Mymensing on Monday.
Chairman of the Runner Group Hafizur Rahman Khan, Chief Whip of National Parliament Shahiduzzaman Khan nd MP Prof Dr Md Amanullah were present at the press conference. The minister appreciated the management of the vehicle company for their efforts in promoting home productions.
The government is encouraging local entrepreneurs to export their products in the global market. Amu has underscored the need for improving the quality of the product to compete the foreign products.
The industries minister urged the foreign investors to invest in the country as the country has already been proven an ideal destination for investment.
Managing Director of Runner Group Brigadier General (retd) Shafiquzzaman presented the introductory speech.
