Amran obtains PhD degree

Syed Shah Amran, Deputy Director, Islamic Foundation has been conferred PhD degree recently by Dhaka University. The syndicate has awarded him the degree on his thesis ‘The role of OIC in establishing peace in the world’.
His supervisor was professor Dr Abdur Rashid, Department of Islamic Studies, Dhaka University. His examiner was Professor Dr. Sikandar Ali, Kushtia Islamic University. The foreign examiner of the thesis was Professor Dr. Osman Ghoni, Department of Islamic history and culture, Calcutta University.
Syed Shah Amran’s published book is ‘Prosongo Nazrul’. He was also a writer of ‘Muktijuddher Dolil O Itihas’, a project of Bangla Academy.
He is the youngest son of late Syed Hussain Ali and Chowdhury Shahana Begum of Belghor, Madhabpur, Habiganj. He is the son-in-law of Shah Muhammad Ahsanuzzaman, the eminent Pir Shaheb of Mushurikhola Darbar Sharif, Narinda, Dhaka.
