There was chase and count-eftchase between the passengers of Calcutta-Dhaka Vein and the BGB members at the lshwardi railway stalion on Tuesday.
The incident took place in the afternoon following an altercation between BGB personnel and passengers over search by BGB men in the train, Ishwardi police station Officer in Charge Bi man Kumar Das told the media.
The Makree Express train had a break at aroundrpmat the station on its way to Dhaka from Kolkata. BGB men hoarded the train to launch forsearch and they started sorting the luggage taking those oat of Menai, some wit¬nesses told the media.
At this the passengers became angry and got engaged in altercation with BGB men that led to the unpleasant inci¬dent, eye witnesses further said.
Later, a Muse and counter-chase took place between the passengers and BGB men.
No casualty has however, been reportedse far till filing of this report in the awning.
