BSS, Dhaka :Altaf Mahmud of daily Destiny and Quddus Afrad, Bangladesh representative of Indian daily Anandabazar Patrika, have been elected President and General Secretary (GS) respectively of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) for next two- year term.The election was held on Thursday at Jatiya Press Club (JPC) from 9am to 5pm, said a release here on Thursday night.Atiqur Rahman Chowdhury has been elected Vice- President and Gazi Zahirul Islam Joint Secretary.Other elected office bearers are Shahana Sewly, Sohel Haider Chowdhury, Rafiq Ahmad, Salimullah Salim, Mohammad Mehedi Hassan and GM Masud Dhali.Other elected members are Anup Kumar Khastagir, Amiya Ghatok Pulak, Akter Hossain, Abul Kalam, Ashish Kumar Sen, Ibrahim Kolil Khokon, Poli Khan, Mamun Abedin and Shafiuddin Ahmed Bitu.
