Recipes: Aloo Kurma

Ingredients:
o 4 Potatoes (chopped into cubes)
o 3 Tomatoes
o 1 onion (finely chopped)
o ½ cp peas
o Ginger and Garlic paste
o 2 tsp Coconut Powder
o 2 tsp Red chilly Powder
o Salt to taste
o One Pinch of Turmeric
o ½ tsp Cumin seeds
o ½ tsp Mustard seeds
o 2 tsp Garam masala
Method:
oFirstly, heat oil in a pan and add mustard and cumin seeds. Once they start popping, add onions.
oKeep frying onions until it turns golden brown and add ginger garlic paste to it.
oThen, add tomatoes and peas to the mixture.
oAfter cooking the tomatoes, add cooked potatoes, salt, red chilli powder, coconut powder, turmeric, garam masala and little bit of water.
o On a medium flame cook for 10-15 minutes covered. Keep stirring (occasionally), until the potatoes are tender.
oYou may also add curd (and cook for 10 minutes.
oGarnish it with coriander leaves.
