State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Malek Swapan said all citizens of the country will get access to electricity by 2021 that is now around 60 percent.
“Presently about 10,000 MW electricity is being generated in the country which only 3,500 MW during previous BNP-Jamaat alliance government, he said.
The Minister made the remark on Saturday when inaugurating electricity supply of Madya Krishnapur Kapalipara area of Krishnapur Union under Manikganj sadar upazila.
The State Minister said that the health sector achieved a mentionable development. All community clinics, those were closed by BNP-Jamaat alliance, were reopened by the present government to ensure health care at the door steps of grassroots level people.
He said the development works worth of around Taka 1,000 crore was carried out in Manikganj during last five years.
Later, the Minister inaugurated another electric supply line at Basudebpur-Mukimpur which was presided over by Safiuddin Master.
