Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Thursdayexpressed the optimism that all eligible people would come under the ‘Ekti Bari Ekti Khamar’ (One Homestead, One Farm) project by 2021.
“There is a plan to bring all people under the ‘Ekti Bari Ekti Khamar’ project. It is expected that everyone will be covered by this project by 2021,” he said, speaking at a programme of the Core Banking Activities of Palli Sanchay Bank at the Finance Ministry in the city.
Muhith said the activities of ‘Ekti Bari Ekti Khamar’ project will be continued through the Palli Sanchay Bank and this project will no more be needed after 2020-21.
Praising the activities of the Palli Sanchay Bank, Muhith said, the bank has already brought 485 of its branches under online transactions.
Among others, Senior Secretary of the Finance Division Hedayetullah Al Mamoon, Senior Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division Md. Eunusur Rahman and Palli Sanchay Bank Chairman Dr Mihir Kanti Majumder were present at the inaugural ceremony.
