All set to observe National Mourning Day in dists

All preparations have been completed to observe the National Mourning Day and the 47th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in a befitting manner here on August 15.
Different government, semi-government, autonomous bodies, socio-cultural and voluntary organisations and educational institutions have completed their preparation to observe the day in the city and district.
The programmes, include hoisting of national flag at half mast in all government, semi-government, autonomous and private buildings, discussion meetings, placing wreaths at the monument of Bangabandhu, distribution of leaflets, posters and screening of film show and documentary on life and works of Bangabandhu and offering special prayer and doa-mahfil at all religious institutions.
According to a PID handout today, government, semi-government and other organisations will place wreaths at the monument of Bangabandhu at Khulna Deputy Commissioner Office premises.
Besides, prize distribution ceremony of essay, art and poem recitation competition and cheque distribution by the Directorate of Youth Development among freedom fighters will be held at the same place.
Special munajat will be offered after Zohr prayer at mosques while prayers will be held at temples, churches and pagoda on the day.
BSS from Rajshahi reports : Elaborate programmes have been taken to observe the National Mourning Day and 47th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with due respect and honour here Monday. The day will be observed with a vow to materialize the dreams of the Father of the Nation to build a “Sonar Bangla” and to bring back all the fugitive convicted killers of Bangabandhu to be executed.
 Various government and non-government organisations including district administration, Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC), political parties, socio-cultural organisations and educational institutions chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the day.
The day’s programmes will begin with hoisting of the national flag and black flag at half-mast, placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu and four national leaders, offering special prayers and discussion meetings.
BSS from Panchagarh says: Elaborate programmes have been taken to observe the National Mourning Day and 47th martyrdom anniversary of the Architect of Independence and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Debiganj upazila in the district on August 15.
The upazila administration chalked out daylong programmes marking the day at a preparatory meeting held in the upazila conference room here on Sunday with Upazila Nirbahi Officer(UNO) Golam Ferdous in the chair.
The programmes include hoisting of national flag at half-mast at all government, semi government, autonomous and private buildings, placing floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu, bringing out mourning procession, arrangement of art competition of the children and prize distribution to the winners.
The programmes also include rendering songs, reciting poems, holding doa and milad mahfil, arrangement of special prayers and munajat at all mosques, temples and churches and other religious organizations and screening film and documentary on the life and deeds of Bangabandhu at important places. Improved diets will be served to the orphanages marking the day. Assistant commissioner (land) Golam Rabbani Sardar, municipality mayor Abu Bakkar Siddik, former upazila chairman and upazila Awami League general secretary Hasnat Zaman Chowdary Jarje and vice-chairman Babul Hossein, among others, addressed.
BSS from Gopalgan adds: A preparatory meeting at the initiative of Gopalganj district administration was held today to mark the 47th martyrdom anniversary of the Architect of Independence and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day 2022 on August 15.
The district administration chalked out daylong programmes marking the day at a preparatory meeting held here this morning with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shahida Sultana in the chair.
In order to observe the day with due dignity, the mausoleum complex of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and its surrounding areas are being prepared for highest security measures, safe communication system, safe food and water system, clean, adequate lighting system, keeping helipad ready and Qurankhwani will be provided.
