Staff Reporter: Amount reserved by the family members of late Nilufar Chowdhury for holding her Qulkhani has been donated to Gonoshasthaya Hospital’s Dialysis center.
Ms Shirin Shahab and her brother Farihan Rahman, residents of the capital’s Gulshan, handed over the amount of Tk 50,000 to Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury in the Gonoshasthaya Nogor Hospital on Saturday.
Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury said, “Shirin Shahab and her brother Farihan Rahman have given their family budget kept for holding her late mother’s Qulkhani to the dialysis center. We have expressed our gratitude to them.”
He said, the siblings did their duty standing before the poor kidney patients. The rich people of our country should follow their step.
He urged all capable persons to donate money to the dialysis center, saying the center is dedicated for rending medical services to the poor kidney patients who are unable to bear their treatment costs.
The Trusty of the hospital also said that the money of donations is totally income tax free.
