Ananya Joyita is daughter of Dr Mukta Saha, Associate Professor of Department of Political Science of Dhaka College. Joyita had two dreams – one to study in architecture and another was to render song under composition of Alauddin Ali. Ananya’s first dream was fulfilled by her own talent. She is studying architecture at Shahjalal University of Science & Technology. Her mother Mukta Saha came forward to fulfil her second dream. During childhood, Joyita was habituated to hear songs of Shahnaz Rahmatullah, Runa Laila, Sabina Yasmin and Mitali Mukherjee which music were composed by Alauddin Ali. So, she had intrest to render song composed by the legendary music composer.
In 2018, Ananya got the opportunity to render song in front of Alauddin Ali. After hearing song in Joyita’s voice, Alauddin Ali became impressed and he later composed four songs for her. But Alauddin Ali did not get the opportunity to introduce Joyita formally because he deceased earlier.
On December 23, Joyita is going to release her debut album titled Pran-er Manush at the Officers’ Club in the capital where Alauddin Ali composed his last four songs will be released. The songs are: Sondhya akash, Je kotha bolte parina, Tomar mon chhilona bole and Pran-er manush. Foad Nasser Babu arranged music of these songs.
While remembering Alauddin Ali and to release his composed last four songs Ananya Joyita said, “Name of Sir’s little daughter is Rajkonna. He loved me so much that he called me Boro Rajkonna. I never thought he would compose songs for me. My mother took the initiative. Sir wanted to introduce me to all. But he passed away before. He is not alive today. After few days, his composed songs will be released. I will miss him a lot. I am grateful to Sir’s wife Mimi Aunty.”
Ananya Joyita got primary learning from her mother at first. Later, she also received training from Lutful Hasan Milon, from 2007 she has been learning classical music from Ustad Sanjeeb Dey and also completed course in Nazrul songs from Chhayanaut, the singer also said.
