Two joint meetings of Awami League will be held on Monday to discuss preparations to make Friday’s mass reception to Prime Minister and party President Sheikh Hasina a success.
Jatiya Nagarik Committee will accord the reception to the Prime Minister at Suhrawardy Udyan for her government’s various successes, including ratification of Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) by with India, said a party press lease on Sunday.
The first meeting will held between Awami League and its presidents and secretaries of Mymensingh, Tangail, Gazipur, Manikganj, Munshiganj, Narayanganj and Narsingdi and the party MPs of the areas at Awami League President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office at 4pm.
The second meeting will be held between Awami League and presidents and secretaries of its Dhaka city unit and associate bodies, city party MPs and mayors of Dhaka south and north city corporations at the same venue around 5:30pm.
Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam urged all concerned to attend the meeting in time, the press release added.
