AL leaders place wreaths at Russel’s grave

Leaders of Awami League (AL), its associated bodies and different socio-cultural organizations yesterday placed wreaths at the grave of Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, at Banani graveyard on Russel’s 51th birth anniversary
The leaders also placed wreaths at graves of other martyrs of the August 15 massacre on the occasion.
Leaders of Awami League led by party Presidium member and Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed placed wreaths at 8am.
AL presidium members Obaidul Quader and Satish Chandra Roy, joint-general secretaries Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif and Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, relief and social welfare secretary Faridunnahar Laily and organising secretary of Dhaka City unit AL Shahe Alam Murad were also present there.
They offered fateha and munajat there seeking eternal peace of the departed souls.
Later, Bangladesh Awami Juba League, Awami Swechhasebak League, Bangladesh Chhatra League, other associate bodies of AL and pro-AL cultural organizations including Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote also paid tributes to Russell by placing wreaths at the graveyard.
