A police constable Zakir Hossain Uzzal (52) was killed and his cousin ward Awami League leader Shafiqul Islam Sujon was injured seriously and later he died on Monday night at Dhaka Medical College Hospital after 7 days.
The Namaj-e Janaja of the deceased was held at n Longair Jam-e- Mosque on Wednesday morning.
A case has been filed with Pagla Thana accusing former Upazila Awami League President Amir Hossain and his son Zakir Hossain Uzzal.
Awami League leader Nurul Islam Manik, elder brother of the deceased informed that in the presence and direction of Amir Hossain , his son Zakir Hossain Uzzal on the bank of the pond back side of Sujon , Zakir Hossain Uzzal hit with a sharp weapon on the head of my brother and critically injured before wife and children brutally.
Eye-witness informed , depending on eating grass of sister ,they were involved in altercation and Uzzal hit with a sharp weapon on the back side of Sujon . As a result, he became seriously injured. Later, his relatives rescued him and sent him to Gafargaon Upazila Health Complex and then he was admitted him into Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
