Awami League central committee leaders have inspected Hashem Food and Beverage Factory at Rupganj in Narayanganj, where a deadly fire broke out on Thursday.
The leaders led by Rupganj Upazila Awami League President and Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi went to inspect the factory and talked with the family members of the victims, said a press release here.
Awami League Central Committee Organizing Secretary (Dhaka Division) Mirza Azam, Office Secretary Barrister Biplob Barua, Liberation War Affairs Secretary Mrinal Kanti Das, Narayanganj district Awami League president Abdul Hai, general secretary Badal, member of the parliament from Narayanganj-2 constituency Alhaj Nazrul Islam Babu and other local leaders also went there.
While replying to the queries of the newsmen, Textile and Jute Minister said that, “No irregularities in the construction of factories will be tolerated. Anyone neglecting safety measures of the workers will be brought under the law…”
“The government will not spare anyone responsible for the deaths of those who are keeping the economic wheel of the country in motion,” Gazi said, said the release.
