On the other hand, BNP supported Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya Parishad bagged one post only of an executive committee member in the election held on Thursday.

Two panels-Sammilito Ainjibi Samannaya Parishad (SASP) and Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya Parishad (JAOP) contested in the election.
Advocate Afzalul Karim (432 votes) became the President from AL-backed Sammilito Ainjibi Samannaya Parishad defeating Advocate Mojibor Rahman Nantu (305 votes) of Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya.
On the other hand, Advocate Qayyum Khan Kawsar (388) of AL-backed Sammilito Ainjibi Samannaya Parishad panel became General Secretary defeating Advocate Riaz Hossain (308 votes) of Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya Parishad.
Advocate Golam Faruk Dublu, Ishtiaq Kabir Rocky, Rafiqul Islam Jhantu of SASP and Advocate Mainul Abedin Tuhin of JAOP were elected four members of the 11-member executive committee of the association.
