A local activist of Awami League was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants at Chalitabari in Sadar upazila on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Moazzem Hossain Mondal, 55, an activist of Sadar upazila unit Awami League and son of Afzal Hossain of the upazila.
Nure Alam Siddique, officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Sadar Police Station, said a group of unknown miscreants swooped on Moazzem Hossain at Chalitabari and stabbed him indiscriminately while he was returning home around 8:30 pm, leaving him critically injured.
Later he died on way to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
Police suspected that Moazzem was killed over previous enmity.
