Police on Tuesday recovered an AK-22 rifle, seven bullets, two magazines, 10 detonators and three sluice-gate knives at the Kamalapur Railway Station in the city.
OC of the Kamalapur Police Station Abdul Mazid told bdnews24.com that the firearm and ammunition were found in a bag lying abandoned on the platform inside the station at noon.
Earlier, on Monday, police arrested two passengers and recovered a semi-automatic AK-22 rifle with eight bullets and two magazines, and powerful explosive materials from their possessions after searching a compartment of a Dhaka-bound inter-city train Subarna Express at the Airport Railway Station in the capital.
