Air Force chopper crash injures 3 at Ctg airport

At least three people were injured when an Air Force chopper crashed at Shah Amanat International Airport on Wednesday. Two of the injured were identified as Safayet, a squadron leader, and co-pilot Fuad, while identity of the other, whose designation only could be confirmed as flight engineer, could not be known immediately. Airport manager wing commander Nur-e-Alam said an Air Force helicopter MI17 (a test flight) crashed at the airport at about 11:06 am, leaving the three injured. Nur-e-Alam added Safayet and the flight engineer sustained major injuries and were taken to Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka for treatment. Condition of Fuad who received treatment was reportedly well.– UNB, Chittagong
