At least three people were injured when an Air Force chopper crashed at Shah Amanat International Airport on Wednesday. Two of the injured were identified as Safayet, a squadron leader, and co-pilot Fuad, while identity of the other, whose designation only could be confirmed as flight engineer, could not be known immediately. Airport manager wing commander Nur-e-Alam said an Air Force helicopter MI17 (a test flight) crashed at the airport at about 11:06 am, leaving the three injured. Nur-e-Alam added Safayet and the flight engineer sustained major injuries and were taken to Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka for treatment.
