Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited has introduced new ‘Mobile ATM Booth’ for its clients. Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr Atiur Rahman inaugurated the new booth on Wednesday in front of BB head office.
Deputy Governors SK Sur Chowdhury, Md Abul Quasem and Chairman of AIBL Badiur Rahman were present as special guest while Managing Director Md Habibur Rahman presided over the ceremony.
Among others General Manager of Bangladesh Bank AFM Asaduzzaman, Deputy Managing Directors of AIBL Kazi Towhidul Alam and Md Fazlul Karim were also present in the occasion.
Governor Dr Atiur Rahman, in his speech, said the new initiative taken by Al-Arafah Islami Bank is highly appreciable and will help the unbanked people to be connected with the modern facilities of banking system.
Mentioning that ATM service is being popularized among the urban clients, the Governor advised all banks to extend their service in rural areas. He also said, in the new concept of financial inclusion, clients are not ought to come in banks but banks must reach the clients. He declared the newly inaugurated mobile ATM booth as a good example for the future development of human-oriented banking.
Chairman of the Bank Badiur Rahman thanked the governor for his support and advise. He said, the bank would continue its activities to help the people to ensure banking service for each and every people of the country.
Managing Director Md Habibur Rahman, in his speech, also thanked Bangladesh Bank for the outstanding supervision and guidance that made the modern banking business a more effective way to change the entire economy of the country.
