Agriculture Minister Dr M Abdur Razzaque urged the officials of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) to work with sincerity for the development of agricultural sector.
The minister also said BADC has played pioneering role to build the country properly.
He said this on Monday through online while participating at a discussion marking the National Mourning Day and 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman organised by BADC at its seminar room in the city.
The minister said the conspirators who were behind the killing of Bangabandhu wanted to kill the ideology of Bangabandhu. The Liberation War of Bangladesh was an epic and hero of this epic was Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. So, the ideology of Bangabandhu will remain alive forever, the minister added.
BADC Chairman M Sayedul Islam chaired the function. While speaking Sayedul said Bangabandhu worked to establish exploitation-free society. The main theme of Bangabandhu’s thought was agriculture. He stressed upon the development of agriculture for the development of the country. Bangabandhu dreamt to build up the country as ‘Sonar Bangla’ and for this he gave importance to the country’s agriculture sector to materialize his dream.
Agriculture Secretary M Nasiruzzaman spoke at the function as the special guest.
