The Annual General Meeting (AGM) -2017 of Union of Journalist Kushtia (UJK) was held at Disha Tark Hotel in Kushtia town on Saturday.
Prime Minister’s Media Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury attended the AGM as Chief Guest while President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul inaugurated the AGM.
Secretary General of BFUJ Omar Faruk was present as key speaker and DUJ President Shaban Mahmud as special guest .
Presided over by Rashedul Islam Biplab, President , Union of Journalist Kushtia, it was addressed by presidents and secretary generals and joint secretaries general of BFUJ.
Prior to attend the AGM, a human chain was form at Thana Crossing in Kushtia town demanding formation of 9th wage board before Ramazan.
Afroza Akhtar Dew , Acting Editor of Arshinagar and The Daily Authentic coordinated the programme and the meeting was conducted by Secretary General of Jamil Hasan Khan Khokon.
