Afroza Akhter, a second year student of Philosophy Department of Dhaka University (DU) emerged the champion of the Annual Sports Competition of Shamsun Nahar Hall of Dhaka University on Friday.
Ashrafi Sultana of Department of Pottery Technology became the runner-up of the sports meet. The sports competition was held at the central playground of DU.
Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the sports competition as the chief guest in the morning.
After the sports meet Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Shahid Akhter Hussain distributed the prizes among the winners. Provost of Shamsun Nahar Hall Professor Sazeda Banu, residential teachers of the Hall, Deans of different faculties, Provost of different halls, senior teachers of DU and the officials of physical education centre of DU were present at the time.
