The three-day ‘ Afif Victory Day Cup Golf Tournament- 2017’ concluded through a colourful prize distribution ceremony held at Rangpur Golf Club (RGC) in Rangpur Cantonment here last evening.
More than 100 contestants of different Golf Clubs from all over the country participated in the male, female, junior and sub-junior groups of the tournament sponsored by the Dhrubo Construction Ltd, a press release said.
Rangpur Area Commander, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 66 Infantry Division and RGC President Major General Md Masud Razzaque attended the inaugural and concluding ceremonies as the chief guest.
In the Male Group, golfer Brigadier General Shams (Retd) secured the first position
while golfer Brigadier General Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah won the best gross award.
Golfer Enamul Haque Sohel became the runner up while golfer Major General Masud Razzaque won the second best gross award.
Golfer Brigadier General Mahbub Sarwar became the second runner up while golfer Major Ashraf won the third best gross award and golfer Colonel Azizul Kahhar became the third runner up.
Golfer Brigadier General Amin Akbar secured the maxim par award while golfer Lieutenant Colonel Taufiq won award for making the longest drive and golfer Major Ashraf won the fourth best gross award.
In Female Group, golfer Subah became the winner while golfer Nasrine Haque Boby won the best gross award.
Sayma secured the first position while Sadat became the runner up in Junior Group.
Fiban secured the first position while Afrin became the runner up and Momo won the second runner up award in the Sub-junior Group.
