Afghanistan U-19 Cricket team in Dhaka

Afghanistan Under-19 Cricket team arrived at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday. The Afghan Youths arrived here to play five one-day matches and a lone Test match against Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team. Members of Afghanistan Under-19 Cricket team first reached Pakistan from Kabul and Qatar from Kabul and Dhaka from Qatar.
During the Taliban regime a cricket team from Afghanistan are touring a country.
After reaching Dhaka, the members of Afghanistan Under-19 Cricket team directly went to Sylhet in their Team Hotel. The Afghans will take on three-day quarantine there. Then they will undergo in Covid-19 test. If they become negative for the coronavirus test, they will take part in their practice sessions from Wednesday. The first one-day between Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team and Afghanistan Under-19 Cricket will start on September 10 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The last one-day will be held on September 19 at ate same venue. The lone Test match between Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team and Afghanistan Under-19 Cricket team will take place at the same venue from September 22.
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team clinched the last ICC Under-19 World Cup title.
Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team have taken part in their practice sessions for two weeks. Then the Young Tigers will play five-match one-day series as part of their World Cup preparation. Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team will try to retain their World Cup title. So, they will play against the Afghans Youths as part of their preparation for the upcoming ICC World Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
