AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Qualifiers begins today

The AFC Under-16 Women’s Championship Qualifiers begins today at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. Iran will face United Arab Emirates (UAE) at 2.00 pm while Bangladesh will take on Jordan at 5.00 pm.
Marking the upcoming matches, officials and captains of the participating teams of the football meet spoke at the press conferences held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation House on Tuesday.
Head Coach of Bangladesh Under-16 National Women’s Football team Goalm Rabbani Choton said, “Jordan, Iran and India are stronger opponents. I hope our girls will fight equally against them.
Captain of Bangladesh team Monika Chakma said, “We shall try to play well. There are some problems in our defence. I hope that we can overcome from that problem and show a better brand of football against them.”
Head Coach of Jordan team Manar Mustafa Ahmed said, “We clinched two titles before take part in today’s match. I had some idea about the participating teams. We had taken part in a training camp in Germany before we came to Bangladesh.”
Team Manager of Iran Homa Khodayari said, “We have seven-month preparation before participate in this football competition. We hope we can get success and will move into the next round.”
Head Coach of UAE team Samir Al Andaluse said, “We don’t have any National Women’s Football team. There are 500 female footballers in our country. Our team is a new team. We have come here to get experience.”
Head Coach of India team Maymol Rockey said, “We had participated in a two-month long preparation camp before arrived here. We are confident that we will move into the next round.”
