Advocate Sanaullah Miah laid to rest in Narsingdi

Advocate Sanaullah Miah, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s lawyer and her party’s law affairs secretary, was laid to eternal rest in his home district Narsingdi on Saturday.
He was buried at his family graveyard after his namaz-e-janaza in Kararchar Eidgah in Narsingdi’s Shibpur Upazila after Zohr prayers, said BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
He said BNP joint secretary general Khairul Kabir Khokon and Khaleda’s special assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas paid tributes to the lawyer, on behalf of the party, by placing wreaths at his coffin.
Sanaullah Miah, also a former president of Dhaka Bar Association, died at Gonoshasthaya Kendra Hospital in the city on Friday night at the age of 60.
He came to the spot light during the 1/11 political changeover in 2007 as he defended Khaleda in different cases as her lawyer.
He was also elected a member of Bangladesh Bar Council.
