Advocacy meeting on sustainable consumption held in Khulna

“A little change can bring a lot of change” said the chief guests of the program Mohammad Yusuf Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General). He also said that “Nature gives us back what we do”.
He said that in an advocacy meeting with multilevel stakeholder which conducted by JJS, SCP project in CSS Ava center on 22nd September 2021 to mobilize civil society, local government and government departments for promotion of sustainable consumption and climate change impacts. The program was started through the opening speech delivered by the chair person Prof. Dilip Kumar Datta, (KU).
The resource person Prof. Dr. Atikul Islam, Environmental Science, (KU) shared a power point presentation in front of the participants where he basically discussed that why sustainable consumption and what is the adolescents and civil society members role to promote the sustainable consumption education.
He emphasized in his discussion about the sustainable lifestyle, sustainable marketing, sustainable procurement and other relevant issues.
Representative from Dept of Environment, Dept from Education, KCC, Women Affairs, 2 male Councilors and 3 women councilors, 5 adolescents, 2 mothers, 4 volunteers and JJS staffs were present in the program.
Total 32 participants were present in the meeting.
