On the occasion of the first death anniversary writer, columnist, Editor of Golapganj-Bianibazar News and Islamic personality Advocate Maulana Rashid Ahmed, a photo exhibition was held on his life and work. A discussion and prayer ceremony was held recently at the Sylhet Press Club Auditorium on the initiative of former colleagues of the newspaper. Md. Iqbal Siddiqui, President of Sylhet Press Club attend the programme as a chief guest.
Senior journalist Faisal Alam presided over and Imran Ahmed conducted this programme.
After the beginning Programme Mufti Sadiqur Rahman Amni’s recitation from the holy Quran and Mansoor Hossain Munna’s welcome speech, Maulana Habib Ahmed Shihab, president of National Imam Association, Sylhet, Prof. Farid Ahmad, President of Sylhet District College Teachers’ Association, Abdul Quader Tapadar, vice president of Sylhet Press Club, Sylhet Women’s Medical College spoke in the discussion.
SWMCH Director Emdad Hossain Chowdhury, Jalalabad Pravasi Kalyan Samiti President Advocate Abdur Rahman Chowdhury, Sylhet Press Club Library and Publication Editor Kabir Ahmad, Rotarian Ekhlachur Rahman, VP Mahbubul Haque Chowdhury, Asadul Haque Asad also spoke the discussion.
