ADP implementation reaches 13.60 pc during July-Oct

The rate of implementation of Annual Development Programme (ADP) during the first four months (July-October) of the current fiscal year reached 13.60 percent with an expenditure of Tk 16,772 crore.
The rate is 2.60 percent higher and Tk 5177 crore higher than the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year (FY16) when the expenditure was Tk 11,595 crore.
According to the latest data of the Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED), only Tk 10,124 crore (14.32 percent) was spent from the government fund during the period while Tk 4,861 crore (12.15 percent) from the project assistance portion.
Besides, Tk 1,788 crore (14.14 percent) was spent from the organization’s own fund during the period.
The IMED figures showed that out of the 54 Ministries and Divisions, the Ministry of Science and Technology witnessed the highest implementation rate of 49.33 percent during the four-month period with Tk 438.30 crore expenditure while the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) the lowest expenditure of zero percent.
Out of the top 10 Ministries and Divisions, the IMED figures revealed that Power Division made the highest expenditure of Tk 4,509.56 crore (24.21 percent) followed by Local Government Division Tk 3,606.57 crore (20.57 percent), Bridges Division Tk 661.51 crore (7.13 percent), Ministry of Railways Tk 949.65 crore (10.78 percent), Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Tk 1,358.30 crore (18.09 percent), Ministry of Housing and Public Works Tk 502.81 crore (10.27 percent).
The implementation rate and expenditure of other Ministries and Divisions during the period are Economic Relations Division (ERD) 32.37 percent (Tk 10.73 crore), Ministry of Environment of Forests Tk 55.59 crore (13.79 percent), Ministry of Commerce Tk 16.33 crore (4.39 percent), Energy and Mineral Resources Division Tk 585.66 crore (18.26 percent), Ministry of Agriculture Tk 313.16 crore (18.83 percent), Road Transport and Highways Division Tk 627.06 crore (8.05 percent) and Ministry of Education Tk 539.71 crore (9.17 percent).
