Poura elections: Admin firm to hold Boalmari poura polls peacefully

The district administration and other organs of the government are firm to hold the ensuing municipality election to be held on December 30 fair, impartial and peaceful.
This was told by DC Sardar Sharafat Ali in a view exchange meeting with the mayoral candidates held at Boalmari upazila auditorium on Wednesday.
DC Sardar Sharafat Ali and police super Md. Jamil Hassan urged upon the candidates to follow the rules and regulation and also to extend cooperation to the administration to observe the duties and responsibilities.
The administration warned the candidates about any kind of irregularities and cautioned that in that case law will take its own course.
The meeting was attended by four mayoral candidates of Boalmari municipality including the candidates of Awami League, BNP and two independents. Boalmari municipality, a first class municipality stretching on 11.7 square kilometers where there are 18,974 voters.
Of them 9,346 are male while 9,628 are female. The rate of literacy in the municipality area is 64 percent and has got many possibilities to flourish economically and socially.
